1982 Chlamys (Praechlamys) wuxingensis Li in Li et al., 1982
«The oldest undoubted members of the family Pectinidae that have a ctenolium are Praechlamys reticulata (Schlotheim, 1823) and Pleuronectites laevigata Schlotheim, 1820 from the Lower Muschelkalk (Middle Triassic, Anisian) of Germany. So-called Praechlamys Allasinaz, 1972 from the Lower Triassic of China, such as Praechlamys wuxingensis (Li, in Nanjing Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, 1982) reported from the lowermost Griesbachian of south China (Chen, Shi & Kaiho, 2004: 1303), have not been adequately described, and whether or not they have a ctenolium, or even whether they have a pectinoidean-type resilifer, is unknown.»
