«SPONDYLUS TENELLUS. Spond. testâ ovatâ, radiatim tenuiliratâ, interstitiis minutè striatis, liris eximiè brevisquamatis; coccineo-rufâ, squamis pallidis.
THE DELICATE SPONDYLUS. Shell ovate, finely radiately ridged, the interstices minutely striated, ridges delicately shortly scaled; scarlet-rose, scales pale.
Hab. — ? The sculpture of this species is of a characteristic minute pattern, and the colouring of almost transparent delicacy.»
