«Shell small, broadly ovate to subcircular, thin, the external sculpture showing through and subequivalve. The left valve is of medium convexity, sculptured with about 17, narrow, high ribs, rounded and coarsely noded along the top, their deep, wide interspaces with cross-threads. The ears are large, the pósterior one the greater. The right valve is similar to the left, also sculptured with about 17, narrow ribs, coarsely noded along the top, each set of nodes connected across the interspaces by a raised thread. The anterior, right ear is long and narrow, bordered by a deep byssal notch below.
