«Material:— Sample EKC.1541 (S.W. flank of Kuh-i-Nar, N.E. end near Sheldun; Asmari Limestone, 65 ft. above base (Oligocene)), the holotype (L.86070) and 7 paratypes (including L.86071).
Description:— Of medium size, inequivalve, left valve gently, right valve somewhat more strongly, inflated. Antero-dorsal and postero-dorsal margins of body slightly concave, especially on the right valve, their angle of divergence increasing from 97° to 105°. Ventral margin moderately convex. Ears large, posterior ones right- or only slightly obtuse-angled, the outer margins slightly concave and curving slightly outwards below; left anterior ear similar; all bearing 6-8 threads. Byssal sinus well defined; ctenolium not seen. 21-23 not very prominent, rounded radial ribs of moderate strength, slightiy narrower than their intervals in youth but later attaining the same width as the intervals; fine but distinct, very closely-spaced concentric threads cover the whole surface. Dimensions:— Holotype: H = 32.3 mm. L = 30.3 mm. Td = 12.6 mm. A paratype attains a length of 44.7 mm.» FRANK EVELYN EAMES & LESLIE REGINALD COX, 1956
