(2) Subgenus Janupecten nov. Type: Pecten uttleyi Marwick. Shell of moderate size, equilateral, equivalve; ears subequal, those of right valve ascending distally; byssal notch well developed, no ctenolium. Sculpture: right valve with over fifty weak radials, bevelled towards extremities; left valve smooth, or concentrically lined, sometimes with obsolete radials appearing distally.
