«Anders verhält sich in dieser Hinsicht eine Pebten-Form der Set. Cassianer Fauna, die ebenfalls zu den alternirend-berippten gehört und von welcher Laube ein Bruchstück, Tab. XX, Fig. 3, als Pecten Nerei Münst, abbildet, wozu das Exemplar aber nicht gehören kann, da Münster's P. Nerei eine einfach berippte Form ist. Man könnte das von Laube dargestellte Stück vielleicht als
Pecten subaequicostatus n. sp.
(Tab. XVIII, Fig. 27, 28.) bezeichnen. Während bei den beiden zuvor besprochenen Arien nächst dem Wirbel nur die Hauptrippen in der Zahl von etwa 12—14 entwickelt sind, besitzt dieser Pecten bereits nächst dem Wirbel die volle Anzahl von ungefähr 20 Rippen, alternirend stärkere und schwächere. Die Rippen sind dicht gedrängt, oben gerundet und fast glatt, die Anwachsstreifung ist eine überaus zarte. Die Ohren dieses Pecten sind nicht gerippt wie jene des P. subalternans, sondern nur regelmässig concentrisch gestreift, wodurch die Spuren radialer feiner Berippung ganz zurückgedrängt werden. Der Rand der Bandarea ist an der Unterseite mit einer Furche versehen, der Knorpeleindruck dreieckig. Das vorliegende Exemplar ist eine linke Klappe.»

«This genus was proposed by Kasum-Zadeh (2003) from the Carnian of Bosnia, with Pecten volaris Bittner, 1903, p. 634, as type species, and he included two other species: Pecten inaequicostatus Reis, 1926, and Pecten subaequicostatus Bittner, 1895. The author neither compared species nor justified the proposal, and the three species were assigned to Chlamys (Chlamys) by Allasinaz (1972), which is followed here. In addition, Kasum-Zadeh (2003) considered his new genus as being present only in the Carnian of Bosnia, but these species were also recorded from Ladinian and Rhaetian beds of Austria and Italy (Allasinaz, 1972).»

DESCRIZIONE. Valva sinistra di piccole dimensioni, suborbicolare, piuttosto convessa, del tutto equilaterale. Margine cardinale diritto, comprendente circa il 50% della lunghezza, con apice robusto, ricurvo in avanti, sporgente sul margine stesso. Orecchiette piccole, nettamente separate dal disco da una incisione, con margini laterali diritti, formanti un angolo retto con il cardinale. Margini anteriore e posteriore simmetrici; margine ventrale a cerchio regolare.
Ornamenti costituiti da circa 20 coste radiali robuste e sporgenti, separate da interspazi di uguale larghezza. In esse si distinguono coste di primo ordine, che s'irradiano direttamente dall'umbone e coste di secondo ordine leggermente più deboli, che si originano per innesto nella regione umbonale. Sulle coste di primo ordine si osservano sparse nodulosità. Area cardinale stretta, con un paio di crura cardinali e resilifer stretto ed inciso. DIMENSIONI (in mm):

(Chlamys) subaequicostata (Bittner) presenta molte analogie con C. (Chlamys) interstriata (Münster). Si differenzia da quest'ultima per una minore convessità della valva e per la presenza di coste di primo e secondo ordine ben distinguibili anche in esemplari di piccole dimensioni.
