«99. P. scandula, sp. nov. Ovate, higher than long, compressed; with about thirty fine narrow radiating ribs; interspaces much broader, concentrically striated; ears very unequal, with scaly striae. Height, .85 ; length, .75.

«TYPE LOCALITY: Kanieri, exact horizon unknown.
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: "Ovate, higher than long, compressed; with about 35 fine narrow radiating ribs; interspaces much broader, concentrically striated; ears very unequal, with scaly striae. Height .85; length, .75." .
REMARKS: Hutton's type specimen of P. scandula was recorded as missing by Suter (1914, p. 11) and has not since been found, nor was it ever figured. No Chlamys matching Hutton's description is known from the Kanieri district. The name is therefore suspended for the present.»
