«Description:— Shell small to medium-sized, a little convex, longer than high, ovate in outline, inequilateral, more expanded on the anterior side; postero-dorsal margin reveals weak convexity; anteroventral more broadly rounded than the posterior, abruptly bent inand up-ward, and continues to the antero-dorsal margin which becomes quite concave near the umbo.
Anterior ear three times as long as the posterior. Posterior ear truncated behind, forming an obtuse angle at the postero-dorsal extremity. Anterior ear of the right valve well rounded in front, ornamented with slender concentric lines and projected above the hinge margin; posterior ear of the right valve a little projected. Along the hinge margin is seen a short fine ridge and furrow near the dorsal margin of the ears on the internal mould. Byssal sinus seen below the anterior ear of the right valve. Surface apparently smooth except the anteriur ear of the right valve, but very fine concentric lines seen under the magnifer. Comparison:— One specimen (PI. I Fig. 12) unusual in outline is probably deformed secondarily. It is higher than long, moderately oblique and has smaller ears than C. torinosuensis. It disagrees with this species in the last mentioned respect.
Occurrence:— Mimikire. NOBUO KURATA & TOSHIO KIMURA, 1951
