«Description:— Shell rather small, orbicular and compressed. Antero- and postero-dorsal margin long and straight; ventral margin well rounded. Surface ornamented with 9 to 11 (usually 10) conspicuous radial ribs which are rounded on the top. The furrows between the ribs are concave, rounded, as wide as or narrower than the ribs. Besides these radial ribs there are numerous regular concentric striae running across the ribs and furrows, and between these striae there are fine and dense growth lines.
Hinge line straight; anterior ear longer than posterior one. The former of the right valve with a shallow byssal sinus below it and a well rounded anterior margin. Ears ornamented with several concentric striae and numerous fine growth lines. Dimension:— The holotype (No. 7129) is 17.8 mm in height and 18.8 mm in length. Comparison:— This species closely resembles the left valve of Chlamys (Aequipecten) fibrosa (SOW.) by ARKELL (1931, p. 112, pI. 11, figs. 6-12), but radial ribs are more numerous in the latter than in the former, and the ornamentations of both valves of the latter are different. Occurrence:— Nioigateki, West of Nioigataki, Shiraishigawa and west of Yamashita.» TOSHIO KIMURA, 1951

«KIMURA compared this species to Chlamys (Aequipecten) fibrosa (Sow.) by ARKELL (1931). A group containing fibrosa is now included in Radulopecten (Cox, 1952).
Occurrence:— Two internal moulds of both valves from Loc. 6. » TAMURA, M. 1959. Taxodonta and Isodonta from the Upper Jurassic Sakamoto formation in central Kyushu, Japan. Transactions and Proceedings of the Palaeontological Society of Japan [N. S.], 34: 53-65, pI. 6. [p. 58]
