Shell suborbicular; inferior valve convex, with numerous irregular impressed radiating lines; sinus of the ear profound, and a deep groove margins the ear to the apex, the groove minutely pectinated.
Locality. Near City Point, Va. Observations. This shell, of which I found only the lower valve, may be distinguished from P. magellanicus by the deep sinus of the ear and the greater convexity of the disk. EXPLANATION OF PLATE 21
